The ADVENTURE REHAB Assessment

This 3 day assessment enables ADVENTURE REHAB’s  multi-disciplinary team to understand an individual’s specific needs and formulate an appropriate rehabilitation plan. It also provides clients an opportunity to experience the innovative ADVENTURE REHAB philosophy and introduces the benefits of residential peer-group rehab, utilising the outdoors as a clinic.

The ADVENTURE REHAB Programme

The full ADVENTURE REHAB programme is a 6-month journey broken down into five progressive stages.

Each stage consists of  a 5-day residential rehab course, undertaken in a peer-group and supported by the full ADVENTURE REHAB multi-disciplinary team, followed by a supported period of skills consolidation spent in the clients home environment.

The ADVENTURE REHAB approach of 360 degree rehab develops all aspects of a client’s needs in a bespoke and progressive package that utilises the outdoors as a clinic.

Family/Carers insights into rehab

Family members/carers are encouraged to join clients on the assessment course.

In this peer supported environment practical skills and coping strategies can be shared, along with ways of motivating an injured partner or family member and helping them to achieve their goals. There will be opportunities to spend time with the ADVENTURE REHAB team to ask questions, to experience the ADVENTURE REHAB methodology and have your own adventure!

Family multi-activity weekends

A weekend of adventure and fun for amputees, alongside their family and friends. These courses are an opportunity to participate in family adventure with unobtrusive support from the ADVENTURE REHAB multi-disciplinary team. They are held in the South-West and are scheduled to fit into school holidays, giving the option to combine these weekends with a longer family break away.

Hurley Regatta

This year ADVENTURE REHAB would like to enter some teams into the Hurley Regatta.

This is a fun event held  annually on the Thames, in Hurley – Adults, kids & family fun races (bath races, dragon boats, duck races etc)  and then a party in the evening. For more info go to Hurley Regatta’s website
